The Training Centre is part of Cornwall College, which is the UK's largest provider of higher and further education courses. The structure of the centre allows us to access a wide range of funds to subsidise fees on a number of traditional courses, while still allowing us to use state registered paramedics and other qualified instructors to deliver the highest quality courses certified by Cornwall College.

The centre is located at Lusty Glaze Beach in Newquay, on the north coast of Cornwall. This is a great base for the nature of our courses as it allows easy access to the sea and cliffs for a range of training exercises. But we also operate off-site training courses at company or organisation premises or at specialist locations nationwide.

Many of our packages have been created in conjunction with organisations with specific training requirements, such as Mine Rescue teams and RNLI Lifeguards. The Training Centre continually develops new course to ensure it is current with new medical practices and technologies.

Our trainers and instructors have the highest pedigree and have backgrounds in careers as paramedics, coastguards and lifeguards. Some of our staff still serve as 'responders' for the Ambulance Service, always expanding their experience in dealing with emergency situations.

As well as courses for private individuals and company staff members, we operate specialist courses for a range of major clients including Devon & Cornwall Police, the NHS, West Country Ambulance Service, Network Rail and several schools, colleges and universities.
