Trainees on the Emergency Medical Technician course are taught a range of medical techniques for the care of casualties in emergency situations. This is a higher level course for people who want to become emergency responders.

What are the entry requirements?
A minimum of a valid First Aid at Work certificate.

Who is this course aimed at?
This course is ideally suited to individuals or groups who may be operating in remote environments, where there may be a delay in receiving frontline emergency medical care. Whether working or as part of a leisure activity, this course will enhance your existing skills and introduce you to more advanced techniques and equipment.

What will I be doing on the course?
The course is designed to challenge your current skills and help develop more advanced patient management techniques.

How do I study the course?
The course is run over a 5 day period with continuous assessment throughout. The final day culminates in both written and practical assessment of all the skills taught over the previous four days.

Additional information:
Due to the content of the course, the certificate is only valid for 12 months.
