First Aid - trauma managementThis advanced Trauma Management course is for experienced first aiders who want to enhance their skills in emergency first aid care. Trainees will learn about airway management, oxygen administration and other advanced medical rescue techniques.

What are the entry requirements?

Minimum of FAAW day course or equivalent. Alternatively candidates with relevant qualification and/or experience.

Who is this course aimed at?

Rescue teams, Responders, Emergency services etc.

What will I be doing on the course?

• Life support.
• Airway management, ( Aspiration, OP Airways, NP Airways ).
• Oxygen therapy & ventilation.
• Defibrillation.
• Spinal management.( Collars & board ).
• Entennox.
• Vac packs, Frac. Packs.

How do I study the course?

A two day course, minimum of 14 hours training.

What can I do after the course?

Use above skills in appropriate scenario, ( As member of rescue team, service or within employment if required & appropriate ).

Additional information:

Annual re–certification. (6 Month re-training advised ).
