First Aid at Work kitThis is a refresher course for people who have completed the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) First Aid at Work training course aimed at employees of companies and organisations. The HSE First Aid 2-day refresher course has been developed in conjunction with the HSE to provide employees with updates on first aid protocols and the skills necessary to deal with a range of injuries and potentially life-threatening situations.

Who is this course aimed at?

Anyone wishing to gain the FAAW qualification, or just improve their first aid knowledge.

What will I be doing on the course?

• How to summon help.
• The legal responsibilities.
• Roles & responsibilities of a first aider.
• Principles & priorities of first aid.
• Primary & secondary survey.
• Dealing with the unconscious casualty.
• Possible causes of a loss of consciousness.
• Resuscitation & choking.
• Dealing with bleeding, breaks & burns.
• Contents of a first aid kit, accident reporting, positive aid.
• RIDDOR reportable incidents/accidents.
• Scene assessment / incident management.

How do I study the course?

Over a period of two days, minimum contact time 12 hours.

What can I do after the course?

Seek employment as a qualified first aider, help save a life.

How long is the award valid for?

3 Years.

Additional information:
